The first National Evening of the summer semester 2015/2016 was held on Thursday 3. 3. 2016 and took place at the premises of the student club Áčko. National Evenings are events during which individual nations among exchange students present their country, culture, their values and customs. The culmination of such National evening is then tasting the traditional cuisine of countries of presenting students.
Every first National Evening od the semester is dedicated to the Czech Republic, just as it did on Thursday. At the beginning, foreign students were familiarized with several organizational instructions, after which followed the presentation of the Czech Republic. Participants learned about the Czech cities, language, culture, personalities, arts and other attractions. After the presentation, everyone rushed to the tables, where they awaited the amount of traditional Czech dishes, prepared by "buddies" of ESN Pardubice. To taste so were the apple strudel, homemade cakes, gingerbreads, sandwiches, snacks, cheeses "Hermelín", schnitzels or even "utopenec" (sausage soaked in aspic). The fact that the first National Evening of summer term was successfull is evidenced by the fact that all delicacies prepared were eaten.
